The City of Portland established the Families on Fifth Event Series to provide new, family-friendly events for our community at the City's recently purchased block in the heart of the Leisure and Entertainment District (LED). All Families on Fifth events will be held at the new block on the corner of 5th Ave and Houston St. The events will feature live entertainment, family and pet-friendly activities, and more.
Upcoming Events
The next Families on Fifth Event is a Cinco de Mayo Celebration on Friday, May 5. This event will feature food trucks and FREE live Mariachi music, activities and more. The fun will take place at the future Public Space + Park on the corner of 5th & Houston from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Public Input
The City of Portland's online survey for the features and amenities is open through April 30, 2023. Take the survey online at EngagePortlandTx.com/LED (link).
The City also incorporated educational and public input opportunities into the March & April Families on Fifth events. The future park and public space will transform over the next two years. The City of Portland needs our community members' feedback on what features and amenities wanted in this space!
